Mysore
is around 140 KM away from the state capital city of Bangalore. It has
second largest city of the Karnataka State after Bangalore city. Mysore is the
last capital of Wodeyars, the Mysore state until 1947. Since 14th century, when Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan
were the rulers of Wodeyar Family, only for short time period of 40
years.

Mysore
palace is living in the heart of Mysore city. It is one of the most visited
monument building of country and also largest palaces in India. The Mysore
Palace is home of Wodeyar Maharaja of Mysore state.
The
creation of Mysore Palace is originally built of wood and it was burnt in 1897
during the wedding ceremony of Jayalakshmmanni, daughter of Chamaraja Wodeyar.
It was rebuilt in the 1912 and that time expenses of Mysore Palace
cost 42 lakh.
Mysore
is knowingly as culture capital of Karnataka state. It is being a good
combination of its contemporary and historic heritage of Mysore and it all

Mysore Railway station is also a junction with a track from state capital city, Bangalore
and another from Hassan connecting the same as it enters the station. The
station is situated at very closely of the Mysore city and it is well connected
by the city buses from Mysore bus stand. There are total 6 platforms are
available at this railway station. After the estimation conversion of many
trains which earlier terminated at Bangalore were expanded to Mysore.
