Former Wodeyars capital, Mysore


Mysore is 140 KM far away from the state capital city of Bangalore. Mysore is the second largest city of the Karnataka State after Bangalore. It is the last capital of Wodeyars, the Mysore state until 1947. Since 14th century, when Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan were the rulers, for short time period of 40 years and the Wodeyar family was ruled Mysore. Mysore city is very beautiful and it has never be easily forget in the memory of every tourist with its some sacred temples, quaint charm, beautifully laid-out gardens, magnificent palaces, imposing buildings, rich heritage, and broad shady avenues.



Mysore has with the beautiful and posh Mysore Palace, water bodies, the royal mansions, public buildings, gardens and their planned markets shows an immortal impression of vision of the all Maharajas, their Dewans and other talented giants on the City Municipality before 1862. Attraction such as lakes, sites and open spaces, parks, building, etc these are some attractions are located in Mysore. A Chamundi hills is one of the famous other attractions of Mysore city. 





Mysore is known as culture capital of Karnataka state. Mysore is having a good combination of its contemporary and historic heritage of Mysore and it all shown in the culture. Mysore has being offers a wide category of residential facilities for its tourist. Lalitha Mahal is former palace of city now it coverts in hotel of five star category.

Mysore Palace

Mysore palace has been lived in the heart of Mysore city. Mysore Palace is one of most visited monument building of country and one of the India’s largest palaces. The Mysore Palace is home of Wodeyar Maharaja of Mysore state.
The creation of Mysore Palace is originally built of wood and it was burnt in 1897 during the wedding ceremony of Jayalakshmmanni, daughter of Chamaraja Wodeyar. It was rebuilt in the 1912 and that time expenses of Mysore Palace cost 42 lakh.
