Shirdi, Pillgrimage center for Sai Baba's devotees

Shirdi is a small village, which is situated at Ahmednagar district of state of Maharashtra, it is on the way between Ahmednagar - Manmad highway. Sai Baba was strongly believed in equality of religion and he never had distinguished anyone on the basis of caste, community or religion. He always made it a point not to back empty handed those who had come to Sai Baba in their hour of need and grief. He performed miracles to reduce the suffering of poor people. On one occasion he restored the eyes of a blind elderly and on another occasion he was been lighted a lantern with water when there was no oil to burn it.

As all good things have to end ultimately "Sai Baba" also left his a body on his own will dated on 15th Oct. 1918, leaving his millions of believers and all was crying. His body was laid in the Samadhi Mandir, it is known as "Booty", which he had asked his pupil to built before his death.
