The first part to be built was international terminal
which had two aerobridges it has followed by domestic terminal which is three
aerobridges. The domestic terminal named ‘K. Kamaraj’ after
former chief minister of Tamil Nadu. Chennai airport host as first airport of
India Final destination of Air India’s first flight from Bombay via Belgaum in
1954.
