Largest Mosque in India- Jama Masjid, New Delhi

Jama Masjid is the principal place of worship of followers of Islamic of Old Delhi in India. It is one of the best known mosque in India. Jama Masjid is located in Capital of India. All  muslim come  together at Jama Masjid at every Friday. Jama Masjid was built by  emperor  Shah Jahan, who also built Taj Mahal at Agra. Its foundation was completed in 1656AD. 10 lakh (1 million) was the cost of construction of Jama masjid at those time.

Its design has three great gates, four towers and two 40 meters high minarates with red sandstone and white marbles. In Jama Masjid, at a time 25,000 people can pray here. In Delhi there are so many different historical places available, Jama Masjid is one of them historical place.

There are other attraction near Jama Masjid like, Red fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar tourist can visit very easily there. Jama Masjid is located in New Delhi so there will not be any problem to reaching there for tourist. The distance of Jama Masjid from New Delhi railway Station is very near 2 KM by road ways. Jama Masjid is 16 KM away from International Airport of Delhi by road distance. Tourist can go over after holiday from Delhi International and domestic flights.
