Mahabaleshwar

Mahabaleshwar town is located in Satara district of Indian state of Maharashtra. Mahabaleshwar is very famous for hill station in the Western Ghat range. At this hill station has one of the evergreen forests from overall India. The evergreen forest means is a forest entirely evergreen tree and remain back leaves of these trees all around year.

The place of Mahabaleshwar is the main source of Krishna River, which is flowing from three state such as Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The source of Krishna River is a discharge forcibly from the mouth of a statue of a cow in the ancient temple of Lord Mahadev in located in Old Mahabaleshwar. It has legend Krishna is also known as Lord Vishnu himself as a result according to a curse on the trimurtis by Savitri. Its also have other tributaries such as Venna and Koyana are said to be by Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma themselves.

Location and Climate

Mahabaleshwar is located near about 120 km far away from southwest of Pune and from Mumbai is approx 285 KM. It is a place spread vast plateau measuring 150 square KM bound by interval point on all sides of Mahabaleshwar. The highest peak of Mahabaleshwar is exact 1,438 meter above sea level is known as sunrise point or Wilson.  The yearly average temperature of this place is minimum 16.17 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is that 23.87 degree Celsius.
