Colaba is located in the city of Mumbai. The present are of Colaba was actually two Islands called as the Colaba and the little Colaba or the Old Woman's Island. The place of Colaba was a part of the seven Islands that forms the present city of Mumbai. Colaba had been became a commercial center of Mumbai in 1844 after the cotton exchange had been opened at cotton green. Colaba is well known as find for the variety of fishes in the nearby waters of the Arabian Sea.

Colaba is a start with Gateway of India and it is landmark of Mumbai city. The Taj Mahal hotel is located at opposite to Gateway of India and Radio Club is on other side.
