History:

Raghuji Bhosale was Maratha governor of Berar and he tried to restore his elder son on throne. But, Bhosales was lost the city to British and Nagpur came under the British effect in 1817. Nagpur enjoyed the respect of a capital city of the Central Provinces of India in 1861.
