Shrine Place Shirdi Temple


Shirdi is being a small village in Ahmednagar district in state of Maharashtra. This small village is around 100 km from Nashik city. Today, Shirdi is a hustling pilgrimage center of India.

Shirdi was the home of Sai Baba, who was the great saint of the 20th century. Sai Baba was lived here in Shirdi for more than 50 years of his life. He made this Shirdi a big pilgrimage site for devotees. Devotees have come in crowd from all over the world. The whole Shirdi village and every corner of it have some union with the great saint. The great saint left for heavenly abode in 1918 and after that thousands of devotees visited his Samadhi even today.


Samadhi Mandir:

The Mandir (temple) is built with stones and Baba's Samadhi has been built with white marble stones. A railing is built in marble around the Samadhi and it is being full of ornamental decorations. Two silver pillars full decorative designs are in front of the Samadhi. Just behind the Samadhi, beautiful statue of Sai Baba made of Italian marble which shows him with seated on a throne. This idol was made by late Balaji Vasant. 



Gurusthan:

Sai Baba first came to Shirdi in the form of a child ascetic (Bal Yogi). He was first seated under a Neem tree. This place was come to be known as Gurusthan. In September 1941, the renovation was made of Gurusthan. The present temple of Shirdi was built after this period. There is a small shrine place in Gurusthan. On an elevated platform of this shrine, there is a big portrait of Sai Baba is placed in Gurusthan. There is also a photos of twelve Jyotirlingas are kept in this temple.



At a short distance from Gurusthan lies Baba's CHAVADI. Baba was used to sleep here every alternate day. The Chavadi is divided into two different parts. One part of the Chavadi has a large portrait of Sai Baba with a wooden bed and other has a white chair belonging to him.

Khandoba Mandir:

The Khandoba temple is located on the main road of Shirdi. In front of this temple Baba was welcomed by Poojari Mhalsapati of this temple and saying "Aao Sai", when Baba stepped in Shirdi. In this temple there are icons of Mhalsai, Khandoba and Banai.

Wild Life in Kanha


KANHA NATIONAL PARK and its Tiger Reserve is being considered as one of the finest protected areas of Asia and maybe it has best place across the world to see tigers in the jungle.
